Christiane Woody

Program Manager

Christiane Woody is a proud member of the Apsáalooke Nation and a descendant of the Pikuni (Blackfeet) Nation. A third-generation Bobcat, she earned both her Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Community Health from Montana State University in Bozeman.

Her passion for the health field was shaped by personal experiences—seeing many of her family members navigate stroke, heart disease, and diabetes. Initially drawn to nursing, she later discovered her true calling in community health, recognizing the power of prevention, education, and advocacy in making lasting change. Since first joining Messengers for Health as a student, she has been dedicated to using her education to serve her community.

Christiane played a key role in the Healthy Relationships project, which promotes healthy relationships among Native youth. She now focuses on adapting and sustaining the Báa nnilah chronic illness self-management program for the Crow community and other tribal communities. She oversees the Board of Directors, and manages the organization’s social media and website.

When she’s not working, Christiane enjoys beading, traveling, and spending time with her family!
